Sponsored by the Barre Congregational Church
Located in downtown Barre City at the Barre Congregational Church, Camp BCC is a welcoming, inclusive summer camp where children are encouraged to belong, grow, and have fun in a safe and supportive environment. Camp BCC offers a full day of games, crafts, and activities for boys and girls ages 6–11. Campers must be age 6 on or before July 21 to attend. For campers aged 12 - 16 please see below to learn about our CIT program.
Camp runs daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with early drop-off available beginning at 8:30 AM. Throughout the day, campers enjoy breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Our program includes hands-on learning, active outdoor games, creative arts and crafts, and mindful, real-world skill-building experiences.
Each day also includes a gentle 30-minute Bible story time. Through the art of storytelling, our counselors focus on the themes and values behind the stories—such as honesty, bravery, loyalty, kindness, helping others, and selflessness.
Camp BCC offers flexible registration options to fit your family’s summer schedule. Campers may sign up for one week, two weeks, or all four weeks, allowing families to choose the experience that works best for them. Whether your child joins us for a single week or the entire summer, each week is thoughtfully planned with engaging activities, meaningful connections, and plenty of fun.
At Camp BCC, each day is filled with a balance of active play, creative fun, and meaningful learning. Your child can expect:
Camp BCC is proud to offer free tuition to all campers so that every child in our community has the opportunity to attend, regardless of a family’s financial situation.
To help cover the cost of supplies and to reserve your child’s place at camp, we charge a one-time, non-refundable $25 materials/spot-holding fee per camper. This fee helps us purchase craft supplies, STEM materials, activity equipment, and other items needed to run camp and ensures that registered campers are truly planning to attend. More about the materials fee and deadlines below.
If the $25 materials fee is not doable for your family, please don’t let that prevent your child from attending. We are happy to work with you. Simply contact the church office at (802) 476-3065 or email bccuccoffice@gmail.com, and we can make arrangements.
Because space is limited, we will reach out to families on Wednesday, July 1st by phone call, email, or mailed letter to confirm each child’s spot at camp. If we do not receive confirmation by Wednesday, July 8th at 4:00 PM, your child’s spot may be offered to a camper on our waitlist.
Our goal is to keep Camp BCC accessible, welcoming, and fair for all families while making sure every available spot is filled.
Camp BCC’s Counselor in Training (CIT) Program is designed for teens ages 12–16 who have outgrown the camper role but still love camp and want to learn what it takes to become a counselor.
CITs are essentially campers with extra responsibility. They participate in camp activities while also helping counselors lead games, assist with crafts, support younger campers, and model positive behavior. Throughout the program, CITs build leadership skills, learn teamwork and communication, and gain real-world experience working with children in a fun, supportive environment.
CITs are always supervised by staff and are not left alone with campers. The program is meant to be a learning experience—fun, meaningful, and confidence-building—for teens who may be interested in becoming future counselors at Camp BCC.
Important Note:
The Camp BCC application includes a section where you can select whether you are registering your child as a Camper (ages 6–11) or as a Counselor in Training (ages 12–16).

The $25 materials/spot-holding fee must be paid to Camp BCC no later than 14 days after your application is submitted. This fee reserves your child’s place at camp and helps cover the cost of supplies and materials.
If we do not receive the materials fee by the 14-day deadline, we will continue to hold your child’s spot for an additional 5 days and will make daily attempts to contact you using the phone number and/or email listed on your application. If we are unable to reach you and the materials fee is still not received after those 5 days, your child’s spot will be forfeited and offered to a camper on the waitlist.
In addition, families who have paid the materials fee must still confirm their child’s attendance when contacted by Camp BCC on July 1st. If attendance is not confirmed with us by July 8th at 4:00 PM, your child’s spot will be forfeited and offered to a camper on the waitlist.
If the materials fee is a hardship for your family, please contact the church office and we will work with you.
Our goal is to provide a safe and welcoming space where children can play, learn, and grow together. Through positive experiences and shared activities, we encourage children to build meaningful relationships with their peers while developing a strong and supportive connection to their faith.
Our values center on offering every child in our community an equal opportunity to belong to a space that nurtures creativity, encourages curiosity, and teaches invaluable life lessons rooted in respect, kindness, and growth.
Our mission at Camp BCC is to create joyful, hands-on experiences where kids can laugh, play, explore, and grow. Through outdoor adventures, creative activities, and shared stories, we help children build friendships, confidence, and kindness while learning life lessons that stick long after camp is over.
